Technology transfer at #UniLodz

Technology Transfer Office (CTT) of the University of Lodz is a university-wide unit, the role of which is to manage innovations in the scientific community, connect science with business and public sphere institutions, both on a national and international scale. It is one of the first such units in Poland. It was created in December 2003 as part of the American-Polish "offset" programme.

 

Technology Transfer Office of the University of Lodz also conducts educational and training activities, supports and funds research and advisory projects. The Office has participated in:

  • SCOUTING – an active system of monitoring and assessment of the market potential of research works is the key to cooperation between science and entrepreneurs

University of Lodz CTT specialists representing a wide range of scientific disciplines and competences provide professional substantive support for scientists, doctoral students and students of the University of Lodz and enterprises.

How can we cooperate

How do we support #UniLodz employees, doctoral students and students?

  • we identify innovative solutions emerging at the University of Lodz and analyse the potential of research results reported by researchers
  • we analyse the market in terms of commercialisation of research conducted at the University of Lodz
  • we comprehensively support in the field of formal and legal protection of research results and intellectual property in the form of inventions, works, utility models and patents,
  • we provide advice on obtaining funding for R&D works
  • we coordinate commercialisation processes (creating commercialisation plans, assistance in finding business partners, negotiating, preparing and supervising the marketing and legal side of the commercialisation process)
  • we promote entrepreneurship among academic staff and students of the University of Lodz
  • we implement good practices and indicate modern trends in innovation management
     

How do we cooperate with business and external environment?

  • we establish contacts with enterprises and employers' organisations
  • we identify and coordinate activities related to the search for innovative solutions that respond to business needs
  • we mediate in building relations between enterprises and scientific teams of the University of Lodz
  • we supervise the processes of implementation of research services performed by employees of the University of Lodz
  • we cooperate with Polish scientific units as part of the PACTT agreement
